I find it so odd when both religious and non-religious people talk about the horror of sin... I always have a feeling that they have overlooked something. They keep talking as if everyone were a great sinner, when the truth is that nowadays, hardly anyone is really up to it. There is very little sin in the depths of our unhappiness we feel toward the world.
Most of the dissatisfaction people feel, is that feeling which is everywhere, it's all around us, here even in this moment right now.
We can feel it when we look out of our window or on a television news channel. We feel it when we see thousands of people polluting the atmosphere whilst stuck in traffic when they go to work to create even more pollution, or when they go to church and try to disprove the worthlessness of human life, or pay taxes and try to feel like they contributed something to a good cause. It is the world that has been pulled over our eyes to blind us from the harsh reality. The truth that we are ALL slaves, either to a god or a corporation... Like you and me and everyone else, we were born into a lie, kept inside a prison that we cannot smell, taste, or touch. A prison inside a prison for our mind, where the illusionary guilt of sin and non-worth is more inescapable than even the most unbreakable jail-cell.
